Clumber Park A country park, in part designed by Capability Brown, in the Dukeries near Worksop in Nottinghamshire. It was formerly the park of a country house called "Clumber House", which was the principal seat of the Dukes of Newcastle from the early 18th century onwards. It is owned by the National Trust and open to the public. When, in March 1879 a serious fire destroyed much of Clumber House, the Duke had it magnificently rebuilt to designs by the younger Charles Barry. more...
